The Wedding Ceremony is a Public Event
All are welcome to the Wedding Mass to participate or simply observe respectfully. Phones should be set to silent mode.
Can we bring children?
Yes, both wedding mass and reception.
Notes on Attire
A wedding in the Church is a joyful and holy occasion. We are choosing to pronounce our vows in the house of God to ask His blessing on our lives and upon all of you. Because of the holiness of the place and occasion, we humbly ask that as you choose your dress, you choose one that covers the shoulders, back, chest and middle, and falls at least to the knees. Men's attire is semi-formal, typically a nice suit. Good classic style menswear is encouraged.
Reception will be a bit less formal. It will be a family-friendly event.
Upon Entering the Church
Sacred music will be performed before the main ceremony. Chatter should be minimized inside the church proper. There will be space right outside the church for any need of extended conversation.
Participation
Programme will be provided. Most of the mass part will be performed by a choir. For the few simpler plainchant responses, those who are familiar please feel free to join in singing.
Notes for Catholics: Reception of Holy Communion
We hope that all who are elligible to receive Holy Communion will be prepared and will indeed receive. This participation will be very meaningful for us as well.
